PET OF THE WEEK 1/14

Rajah

We think Rajah is close to 7-8 years old, seems to be a Belgian Malinois, and he currently weighs about 70 pounds. Rajah came to the shelter at the beginning of December from Comal County Animal Control and is still looking for the perfect home. Mals are a different breed, crazy puppies and we’re past that here. If you think you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, though, he’ll prove you wrong. He came in terrible on a leash and is doing great, learned “sit” and “down” quickly at the shelter, and is good with numerous kinds of encouragement. He loves treats, tug toys, and just belly rubs. If you want affection, he’ll give it as good as he gets too.

If you’re looking for a little bit older, but still an attentive, loyal, energetic working dog, Rajah might just be right for you. Rajah’s adoption fee is $120 and he is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed for common intestinal parasites, and heartworm-negative. For more information on Rajah or other furry friends, please call 830-629-5287 or visit HSNBA.org

Did you know?

The HSNBA handles approximately 4,000 animals a year and at any given time cares for approximately 100 cats and 100 dogs. It takes quite a bit to run a shelter, so they rely heavily on donations. Find out more about how you can help here.
