PET OF THE WEEK 5/20
RADIO
First of all, a huge thanks from HSNBA to the community. You may have seen recent news across the radio, newspaper, television, tiktok, or our facebook about a few crisis that hit all at once. New Braunfels stepped up in a huge way, and over 3 days helped find the next step in the life of almost 150 animals!
Radio, however, is still looking for the next step in her life. We featured her just a few weeks ago as part of our Pet of the Week here, and she had a lot of good applications come in. She even got to go live in a home for a while, but it just wasn’t the right fit. We still want to start Radio’s heartworm treatment as soon as possible, but it seems like a calm, quiet home without any other pets would probably be her ideal situation for either a foster or adoptive home.
Heartworms continue to do damage until they can be treated, but the shelter is too stressful an environment to begin treatment here. If you know someone with a quiet home and an open room, please reach out on Radio’s behalf. For information on Radio, heartworms, or other adoptable dogs or cats, please call 830-629-5287 or visit HSNBA.org

Did you know?
The HSNBA handles approximately 4,000 animals a year and at any given time cares for approximately 100 cats and 100 dogs. It takes quite a bit to run a shelter, so they rely heavily on donations. Find out more about how you can help here.
