Today’s Tell Me Something Good Tuesday is about a statewide award!

Farris Thomas is the New Braunfels Youth Collaborative Wellness Director. He was just named the 2027 N-A-S-W Texas Social Work Student of the Year!

​

It is presented by the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. This statewide honor recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate a commitment to social work, their clients and communities they serve.

​

Farris creates meaningful wellness opportunities and help students feel supported every day at Mill Street.

Farris said that receiving the award is a “an incredible honor” and he hopes that the youth he works with feel “inspired to pursue their own goals and recognize what is possible for them.”
