Today’s Tell Me Something Good Tuesday is about home maintenance.

Jody lives in Seguin with her mother on 4 acres. Jody is 73 and her mother is 92, so neither of them climb ladders anymore.

​

One afternoon this past fall, some friends of theirs showed up unannounced with their cherry picker, which is a specialized forklift for hard-to-reach and high areas.

​

The friends proceeded to trim the trees all around Jody’s house and their shed, cleaning up their land.

​

After they finished trimming, they helped put the trimmings on the burn pile and stack the firewood. The friends asked for nothing in return for this act of kindness.

​

Jody said that we could all make-do with friends like that.
